Koreeña Montoya, Board Chair

I am a native Coloradoan, born and raised in Grand Junction.  I attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO where I graduated in 2004 with degrees in Mathematics and Mexican American Studies.  I am in the process of finishing up my Masters in Educational Psychology and currently work as a Coordinator for The Center for Pre-Collegiate and Academic Outreach Programs at the University of Colorado Denver.  I am a first generation college student who loves the process of learning and am always looking for ways to develop myself professionally and spiritually.  I enjoy sharing my experiences with others in hopes of providing insight, and I take advantage of every opportunity to learn from elders and those who are willing to share their wisdom.  I truly believe that every human being has potential for greatness and that my purpose in life is to help people embrace their strengths while overcoming fears and self-doubt.
